VLDB 2001: Information for sponsors

VLDB is a premier international conference on database technology, organized every year by the VLDB Endowment (http://www.vldb.org/). VLDB 2001 will be held in Rome, one of the most important historical cities in the world, with an incredible number of interesting monuments. Rome is the capital of a large industrialized country, which has significant activities in computing, including software companies, and many important users, It also has a long academic tradition, with various different database groups in university departments and research centres. VLDB usually draws 500-600 participants: in Rome, given that we have an attractive city, convenient transportation and an interested local community, we aim at an even higher figure: over 700.

We are actively encouraging sponsorships for the conference. There are three categories of sponsorship for the VLDB 2001 conference.
