Hello,

Applications are open for the first Workshop for Women in Computational
Topology (*WinCompTop*), which will take place *August 14-19 *at the
IMA in *Minneapolis,
MN*. The deadline for applying is now 21 June.

The idea behind this workshop is to bring women at various stages of their
career together to begin work on a project in computational topology as
posed by a senior group leader. The week at IMA will provide the
foundation for this collaboration, which will hopefully extend past the
workshop depending on the project and the group. Follow-up opportunities
to this event include a special session at an AWM Symposium and a special
issue of a journal.

Participants both within the US and non-US based participants are
encouraged to apply. Partial travel funding for US-based participants is
available.

Here is a link to the workshop at the IMA which includes the application
form:

A brief letter of interest and C.V. are requested for all interested
individuals and a letter of support from an adviser will be requested for
students. We would appreciate applications by *June 21*.

Please forward this message to anyone you think might be interested in
applying.

Thanks,

Erin
