Entrance details (especially if you have a car): parking is usually available on Via Vasca Navale on the street or in lots at Via Vasca Navale 107, (Google street view) or on the the other side of the street (Google street view). The building has various staircases. The best way to reach the second floor is an external staircase (Google street view) very close to the gate of Via della Vasca Navale 79 (it can be seen from the parking lot); turn right when you get on the second floor.
A second entrance (convenient without a car) (Google maps and street view, with walking route from the subway station): Via Vito Volterra 48. Please note that in Rome there is also via Volterra (in a completely different area, so be precise when talking to a taxi driver). The entrance has the university logo on the gate and stairs that go down to a space between two long buildings. The department is in the building on the left, entrance more or less in the middle (four glass doors). The external staircase is in this case at the end of the building.
