The Uffizi Web Site in ARANEUS

Description

The Uffizi Web Server ( http://www.uffizi.firenze.it) contains information about paintings in the Uffizi Museum in Florence. Paintings are organized in two ways:

there is a page containing the index of all artists; for each artist, the list of its works in the museum is reported;

there is also a page containing the list of all rooms in the museum; for each room there is a page containing the list of paintings in the room (see, for example, Room 9).

Only some of the paintings are on-line. For each of these there is a page containing the title, author and image, along with a short description of the painting (see, for example, the Birth of Venus, by Botticelli).
